In case you haven’t noticed, Minions are everywhere. Everywhere! We’ve even started learning some words and phrases in “minionese”. If your kids are as crazy for minions as most, you’ll definitely want to try some of these easy and fun minions-themed sensory activities!
Minions Slime
A Pumpkin and a Princess shows how to use simple household items like borax, glue, and yellow food coloring to create minion-yellow slime that your kids can use to get all their squishies out!
Water Table Sensory Play
ABC Creative Learning has a step by step guide to creating a sensory wonderland in a water table. Water beads, shaving cream, cloud dough, and plenty of little minions is a recipe for lots and lots of fun in a contained space. Don’t have a water table? All this can be done in a bin, too!
Colored Rice Bin
The Fantastic Five has a tutorial on creating a rice bin with yellow and blue minion rice! Toss in a few minion figurines and you’ve got the easiest sesnory bin ever!
Minions Sensory Bottle
Little Bins for Little Hands knows all too well that many homes are overflowing with loom bands! Here’s a great way to use some of those yellows to create a sensory bottle!
Colored shaving cream
Nothing like some good old-fashioned shaving cream dyed a nice Minion-yellow! Of course for a safer, edible version, you can use whipped cream or cool-whip with dyes from Maggie’s Naturals. Toss in some googly eyes and you’ve got yourself a quick and easy bin of sensory play!
