I’m guessing many parents, like myself, have discovered that it’s either apps or all YouTube, all the time! Can you relate to this?

However, as we all know, all apps are not created equal. What looks enticing in the app store can be less than so once installed. And with over 1,000 apps geared towards our kiddos with special needs, who’s got time to find the good ones?

Turns out, there are a few sites out there who’ve taken the time! We’ve rounded up 5 of our favorite Special Needs App Review sites for you to check out and get an idea of what’s out there and what can best suit your child’s and family’s needs.

1. Friendship Circle
An international organization committed to providing meaningful experiences for individuals and families with special needs, Friendship Circle created their App Review site to make it search and browse for the perfect app for any disability.

3. Bridging Apps

is actually a program of the Easter Seals of Greater Houston. They have a comprehensive app review team made up of special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational technology specialists. Their process for reviewing apps is thorough and they’re committed to providing great content and opportunities for learning to families all across the country.
